Catherine Kyalo

Catherine Kyalo has a degree in Computer Science. She has previously worked in client relations, content creation and IT support with experience in computer networks. She is also an avid reader and content creator. To re-energise herself, she finds power in yoga. She is currently the Africa regional coordinator for the Local Networks initiative, working to create an enabling ecosystem where community networks can thrive and become self-sustaining while ensuring gender inclusion.

Purpose of position

The regional coordinator is nominated as the representative of the implementing partner. The nominated regional coordinator will be the primary person responsible for the regional implementation of: 

1. Strengthening the community networks movement through grant support, peer learning and capacity building.

2. In part, enabling the creation of new community networks via awareness raising and movement building.
